ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES

As most people are aware, the Government has introduced new legislation as part of the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (England & Wales Regulations 2007).

As of the 4th January 2009 EPC’s are required for all commercial buildings over 50 sq.m. prior to them being marketed for sale or to let.  Exceptions to this are buildings under 50 sq.m., places of worship, temporary buildings, and buildings to be demolished within two years.
