Although August was very quiet in terms of new enquiries, DBK continue
to be one of the most active agents in the southern M40 corridor
having recently completed a number of transactions including:-
Acting on behalf of Hermes
we have negotiated the first letting of five refurbished industrial/warehouse
units at Globe Park, Marlow. The first building has been let to
a local packaging company and, although the buildings have only
just been completed, two further units are now under offer. The
Agents report a steady flow of serious enquiries for these units,
which range in size from approximately 5,200 sq.ft. to 17,000 sq.ft.
We have also recently
acquired approximately 1,400 sq.ft. of offices for a major property
company in Beaconsfield who asked DBK to advise them in searching
for and acquiring “directors” accommodation.
Other recent transactions
include the letting of 2,500 sq.ft. of offices in Buckingham Place,
High Wycombe, a number of small office lettings in 86 Easton street,
and the highly successful refurbishment of offices in Chiltern Avenue,
Amersham, where three out of the four suites have been let within
a few months of building works being completed.
Another successful letting
is of an 11,000 sq.ft. factory on Sands Industrial Estate where
acting for institutional landlords we have let the building to furniture
manufacturers A J Way & Co Ltd to accommodate the continued
expansion of their business.
Charles Miller reports
that although certain properties remain difficult to let, if clients
are realistic in respect of rental expectations then there is a
reasonable chance of attracting interest. We have noticed in recent
months an increasing level of enquiries for industrial property,
which over the last two to three years has been slow.
DBK agency team looks
forward to a busy and successful run up to the end of the year,
a period which is traditionally very busy.
